The Deal Builder website settings tab will only be shown if the Deal Builder & Online Checkout have been enabled. First you'll notice the Buy Online Enabled option - this must be turned on in order for customers to buy directly from your website.
This first group of settings allow you to put in some limits, making sure that only reasonable purchases are made on your site from legitimate customers. You can enter a number of minutes in Limit Duplicate Deal, this prevents a new purchase for a vehicle if an existing purchase has been updated in your choice of minutes.
You can adjust the Maximum Purchases per 24 Hours option to limit excessive purchases by a single user.
Authentication Expiry is the number of minutes you'd like to pass before a customer must re-authenticate using a PIN number.
Failed Attempts Limit lets you choose how many times a user can fail the authentication before the deal is no longer available. By default this is set to 10.
Directly underneath these first options, you can choose to Request Marketing Consent, this is important for GDPR if you intend to send marketing messages.
The part exchange settings relate to how customers can part exchange their vehicle when ordering from you online, you can set this to reject certain types of vehicle/vehicle conditions.
Expire Automatic Offer relates to automatically generated offers and limits the number of minutes they are available.
Expire Deal Builder Offer
limits the amount of time offers made manually by staff remain available for. By default these are set for several days to give customers a chance to consider and complete the process, but you can reduce them if you wish to.There are boxes you can check to exclude modified vehicles, taxi/hire/lien vehicles, poor condition vehicles, vehicles with no service history or vehicles with outstanding finance. When enabled, if a customer selects that a part exchange is subject to these they will be unable to get an online offer and will be prompted to get in contact directly.
You can choose which products (created in Sales -> Products are available for the customers to add to their order online. In order to appear as an option a product must have the Checkout 'Type' enabled - it will then be available with an option to select where it will appear in the checkout process or if it should be hidden. You may add multiple pages of products to your checkout process, but we recommend you do not exceed 2 or 3 at most.
You have a series of settings for both collection and delivery which allow you to set conditions that can be easily managed by your dealership. This includes things like time allowed for vehicle handovers, how many collections/deliveries can be handled at once and the maximum number of miles you're willing to travel for a round trip delivery.
You are able to customise finance parameters such as Minimum Finance Amount, and Minimum or Maximum Deposit Amount. Finance functionality requires a compatible finance service is connected.
The payment options allow you to choose ways in which your customers can pay, such as deposit and instalment amounts. Minimum Reserve Deposit sets the payment that must be made to complete a negative value sale, for example if a part exchange is valued higher than the vehicle being purchased. You can also choose to Allow Part Payments with options for Minimum Part Payment amount and Maximum Number of Part Payments. The Maximum Amount By Credit/Debit Card option helps you to limit your exposure to card payment transaction fees by limiting the maximum amount which can be paid by card, this requires a bank transfer payment method is enabled.
The Confirmation Confetti option is purely an aesthetic choice, as to whether a confetti effect appears when a customer completes an order.
If enabled, when a new deal arrives from AutoTrader an email will be sent to the customer automatically giving them instructions to complete the deal through the online checkout or to get in touch to complete the deal offline.
The valuation settings relate to the vehicle valuations that customers can retrieve from your website via your Sell Your Vehicle or Part Exchange pages.
Firstly you need to enable them altogether, then you can choose the Percentage Adjustments, Offer Range and Rating Adjustments based on AutoTrader Retail metrics rating. These options give you control over how valuations are adjusted and what offer ranges you'll give to customers when they wish to sell you a vehicle.
