When viewing a vehicle you'll see 'Test Drive' in the left sidebar, the vehicle must have been published For Sale for this option to be available.
This section is for logging test drives, mainly for insurance purposes and tracking who is responsible for potential driving violations.
Start by selecting the contact who is driving the car by typing their name into the 'Customer' form - you can select 'New Contact' as necessary.
You can record their driving licence number in the field below and a 'Check' button is provided linking to the UK government license check service. A Driving License Check Code field is provided for recording the check code along with a Find option which provides the URL and QR code to help guide the customer to retrieve the check code.
You can add Photos & Videos to the record as well as any notes below that.
You can also select a Condition Report or create a new condition report to associate with the test drive, and you can also record the location of the vehicle handover by choosing one of your vehicle locations under 'Vehicle Handover Location'.
Once you're happy with all the details and the driving licence check, click 'Start Test Drive' - you will note the vehicle status now includes a compass icon to indicate the vehicle is on a test drive.
Once the customer returns, click 'End Test Drive'
Their 'Test Drive History' will be recorded at the bottom of the test drive page with a start time, end time and their driving licence number. This test drive history can be exported as CSV or Excel files, and you can select the View buttons to view individual test drive data.
