When viewing a vehicle, you'll see 'Test Drive' in the left sidebar. The vehicle must have been published For Sale for this option to be available.
This section is for logging test drives, mainly for insurance purposes and tracking who is responsible for potential driving violations.
Start by selecting the customer from your contacts. The address and fields below will auto-populate for you with any relevant information stored in their contact profile.
A 'Check' button is provided linking to the UK Government license check service. A Driving License Check Code field is provided for recording the check code along with a 'Find' option, which provides the URL and QR code to help guide the customer to retrieve the check code.
Below this, select the Intended Return Time, attach a condition report, choose the location of the vehicle handover, and select the Fuel Level.
You can also attach images and notes to the test drive booking. Select whether the customer consents to their data being stored.
Once you're happy with all the details and the driving license check, click 'Start Session'.
The Vehicle Overview will now show that the vehicle is on a test drive.
As well as the Test Drive menu, of course.
Once the customer returns, you're able to collect an eSignature. This is optional.
The Terms and Conditions can be edited under the Test Drive field in your Vehicles -> Settings section.
You can then email the customer a summary and then end the session.
You can view the test drive history at any time from the 'Session History' tab, complete with start time, end time and their driving licence number. This test drive history can be exported as CSV or Excel files, and you can select the View buttons to view individual test drive data.
