A MotorDesk website enables your customers to reserve a vehicle and pay a reservation deposit online.
The vehicle is automatically marked as 'Reserved' and the reservation deposit amount is automatically added to it's own invoice, the sales invoice once the vehicle is sold, or both.
To enable online reservations, you must firstly navigate to Website -> Settings and make sure that the “Reserve Online” option is turned on.
The next step is to ensure that you have a third-party payment solution connected in your Business -> Connect Services -> Payments section.
Do note that this must be a payment service that allows online payment transactions.
To help you set up any of the payment services available, we provide detailed, step-by-step instructions.
A Reserve button will now appear next to the vehicle listings on your website.
This will take your customer to where they can enter their personal details and payment details in order to make the reservation deposit.
Once your customer makes the reservation online, an invoice for this payment will be created. You can view this invoice in your Sales -> Invoices section.
The reservation payment will also appear on the future sales invoice for the vehicle.
