Batch Invoice

MotorDesk's batch invoice feature allows for you to sell multiple cars to one buyer. This is especially useful in the case where dealers are selling vehicles to other dealers.


To create a batch invoice, first go to the 'Batch Invoice' section of MotorDesk, found via Sales -> Invoices -> Batch Invoice.

Once here, you will need to enter the contact that you are sending the batch invoice to.

You then have two options as to how you would like to construct the batch invoice:

  1. Manually add vehicles
  2. Upload vehicle list

Manually Adding Vehicles

By clicking the input box where it says 'Start typing to search...', it should give you a list of your vehicles that you have in stock within MotorDesk. You will simply select which vehicles you'd like added to the batch invoice.


Uploading Vehicle List

If you choose to upload vehicles instead, you will need to construct an XLS or XLSX file that contains at least one of these headers, so as to be able to identify the vehicle:

  • Registration
  • VIN
  • Stock ID

You also have the option to include a 'Price' column, allowing you to add the vehicle and price at the same time to the batch invoice.


Once you've added your vehicles, you can then customise the invoice like you would with a regular one.

Then, at the bottom of the page you will see a blue 'Create Invoices' button.

Finally, you will be displayed a list of the invoices that have been created - you can access/view these invoices like you would with a regular invoice.
