Google Search Console gives you insights into how your website is performing on Google, whilst also providing a range of tools to help ensure your website is being indexed by Google correctly.

Set-Up Google Search Console

To begin please sign-up/log-in to Google Search Console and add your website at: https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome

Please use the URL prefix method - simply enter your website domain, e.g. https://domain.com

Next you will be given a selection of verification methods, please select the HTML tag method shown under 'Other verification methods'.

Copy the tag which will look similar to:

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="[YOUR-VERIFICATION-CODE]" />

Now go to the Website -> Settings -> Tags section of your MotorDesk account and copy the full tag into the Google Site Verification field. We only need the verification code, but feel free to copy the full tag and we'll extract the code for you.

Now save the tag, and return to Google Search Console to complete the verification.
