MotorDesk can automatically connect your reviews from third-party websites such as AutoTrader, Google and Car Dealer Reviews. Any reviews added to these platforms will then be automatically imported into MotorDesk to be displayed on your website.
To set-up automatic review imports, go to the Business -> Connect Services -> Reviews section and switch on which reviews you'd like to automatically import and then click 'Save Changes'.

Your reviews will be imported each Monday morning and will then be available for your approval before being shown on your website. To manage your reviews, simply go to the Business -> Customer Reviews section. To approve reviews, simply select the individual 'Approve' buttons, or the 'Approve All' button at the top. You can also remove reviews from this section, and you can easily add reviews not found on the third-party websites.

We do not encourage the collection of reviews via MotorDesk or your website as ultimately these reviews will then only be on your website. Instead, we encourage you to use a third-party service as this ensures your reviews are displayed on both the third-party website and on your website, this also helps improve consumer trust that your reviews are genuine.
MotorDesk allows you to include a URL or QR code at the bottom of your invoices, enabling customers to leave a review. This helps you easily collect positive feedback from customers who have recently purchased a product from you.
To enable this, first navigate to the Business -> Invoicing section. In the 'Payments & Instructions' section, expand the 'Paid Invoice Review' subsection.

From here, you will be given the option to add 'Review Instruction Text', which will be displayed on the invoice next to the URL/QR code.
Next, you can add the 'Review Link URL'. MotorDesk recommends linking your Google profile to collect Google Reviews. To find your Google Reviews URL, go to your Google Business Profile, select the 'Ask For Reviews' option, and then copy and paste the link provided.
Once these details are set-up, now when you go to create an invoice, in the invoice 'Options' section you will see the 'Request Review' option.
If you want this option to be enabled by default, meaning all invoices you create will contain this URL/QR code for customers to leave reviews, go back to the 'Paid Invoice Review' subsection and enable the 'Request Review Default' option.
To begin go to the Website -> Pages section. You can either add a new dedicated reviews page on the left hand side or you can add a reviews section to any of the existing pages.

When you click to edit your chosen web page, in the top left corner you can click the '+' sign to open the module options, select the icons shown to the right of the menu to add a new module - when hovering your mouse over these icons you should see text that says 'Insert New Module Above' or 'Insert New Module Below'.
A choice of modules to add will appear. There will be a search bar at the top so you can type in 'Review' and skip to the module options for displaying your reviews.

You have a choice of three review modules:
Reviews Embed lets you add a third-party widget to your site. Simply enter the API key and they'll be linked together. You can choose the colour scheme you'd like for it too.

Reviews Page inserts a full page of customer reviews (only the ones you've approved). You can choose a heading for your reviews page and enter any text in the 'description' box. You can customise below this whether you'd like the reviews to show stars, names, dates, sources and whether they are verified. You can also choose your colour scheme here. At the bottom of the page, you can enter a character limit for the reviews or indeed a limit to the number of reviews. The final check box allows you to choose whether the reviews are displayed in a random order or not.
Reviews puts up to four randomly selected reviews on your web page. This is designed to make it so that each time your page is seen by someone, they'll see different reviews. You'll be able to customise the presentation in a similar way to the above modules.
