Connecting Finance (iVendi & Codeweavers)

The Business -> Connect Services -> Finance section enables you to connect third-party finance data services such as iVendi and Codeweavers. These services connect MotorDesk to your finance providers to power features like vehicle monthly price search, and vehicle finance calculators.

MotorDesk offers integration with a range of finance services including:

iVendi
Codeweavers
Credicar
Santander
Evolution Funding
AutoConvert

However, as many of these offer limited functionality only iVendi and Codeweavers are currently available for self-configuration via this section. For other please contact support to discuss what functionality is available.

FCA Compliance

Finance is a regulated activity which requires authorisation from the FCA (Finance Conduct Authority). If you are not authorised by the FCA please do not attempt to enable the finance options.

When enabling finance please ensure you provide your FCA FRN (Firm Reference Number).

Finance Options

The finance options allow you to customise your default parameters for finance quotations, including the default term, mileage and deposit which can be a fixed amount, or a percentage of the vehicle price.

Monthly price prefix and suffix options are provided to allow you to customise how vehicle monthly prices are shown in search results and on the vehicle information pages. For example, setting the prefix as 'From ' and the suffix as '/month' would display the monthly price at 'From £123/month'.

iVendi

To connect iVendi simply select the iVendi Finance API Provider option and then enter your iVendi Username and iVendi Quotee ID which will be provided to you by iVendi. If you do not have these values please contact iVendi support.

Codeweavers

To connect Codeweavers simply select the Codeweavers Finance API Provider option and then enter your Codeweavers API Key which will be provided to you by Codeweavers. If you do not have your API key please contact Codeweavers support.

The Calculator Style option allows you to switch between Codeweavers' default finance calculator and the MotorDesk-designed calculator which matches the website styles and branding.

Representative Example

A representative finance example will be generated automatically to be shown on your website, please check you are happy with the example and select to Re-Generate Example if required. When re-generating, one of your vehicles will be chosen at random for the quote so feel free to try re-generating multiple times.

Finance Disclaimer

It is critically important that you display a finance disclaimer on your website. A recommended disclaimer is provided to assist you with this, simply select the Add Disclaimer To Footer button to add this to your website footer. We can not guarantee this disclaimer is correct for your business and recommend you seek qualified legal advice to ensure your business is compliant with FCA regulations.

Website Finance Tools

To enable finance tools on your website ensure the Finance option is enabled in your Website -> Settings.

To add a finance calculator to your vehicle information page, or your vehicle finance page, simply edit the relevant page via the Website -> Pages section of your account and add the Vehicle Finance website module. Other finance modules are available including Vehicle Search Finance which provides a finance vehicle search page, and Hero Finance Search which provides a call-to-action budget search.

Vehicle Monthly Prices

Vehicle monthly prices are calculated automatically every 8 hours, or whenever a relevant change is made to a vehicle - for example a mileage or price change.
