Connecting an AutoTrader account to MotorDesk allows you to access a number of features that may help you with your business needs.
The list of features gained by connecting an AutoTrader account are as follows:
When adding a vehicle to MotorDesk, the data for the vehicle is retrieved from AutoTrader. This speeds up and simplifies the process for when you want to add stock to your MotorDesk account.
This is free if you have an AutoTrader account connected, however if you do not have an AutoTrader account connected this will cost you £0.15 per vehicle added.
When editing a vehicle within MotorDesk, there is the 'Vehicle Check' section. MotorDesk also provides a Quick Check section for vehicles which aren't in stock yet. These sections provides extensive information about the vehicle, such as MOT history, vehicle tax, previous owners, etc...
The basic check data will remain available under the vehicle data charge listed above, however without a connected AutoTrader account the full vehicle check will be unavailable - you can connect MotorCheck as an alternative source for much of this data.
When setting the price for a vehicle on MotorDesk, if you have an AutoTrader account connected, you will see options for retrieving the vehicles valuation from AutoTrader. This can help you to price competitively and accurately.
This feature is free if an AutoTrader account is connected, otherwise it will cost you £0.50 per vehicle valuation that is retrieved.
As well as vehicle valuations, a connected AutoTrader account enables you to get useful retail metrics, such as: the 'Retail Rating', 'Days to Sell' and information regarding the 'Confidence of Sale'. Some of these values are available with all AutoTrader accounts, whereas others may require specific products with AutoTrader - to clarify what you will have access to please contact AutoTrader.
The vehicle analyser allows you to retrieve details for a large quantity of vehicles, all at once. You can then search through this data using the filters provided. For more information please refer to here.
All these features listed above are what comes with connecting an AutoTrader account to MotorDesk. Whilst some features, such as vehicle data and vehicle valuations, become an added cost without an AutoTrader account - features such as the 'Vehicle Analyser' now become unavailable.
